The PuraMed management team brings more than 80 years of combined industry experience, including new product development, drug formulations, marketing, sales, regulatory compliance and approval, and senior management of both public and private companies.


Russ Mitchell, Chairman and CEO

Mr. Mitchell formerly served as Chairman and CEO of Dotronix, Inc., currently Wind Energy America, Inc. (OTCBB: WNEA). Prior to his role at PuraMed Bioscience, Inc. he was the founder of Mitchell Health Marketing Alliance, Inc., (formerly Mitchell Health Technologies) which he established in 1994. MHMA services over 48,000 retail locations nationwide, and specializes in the marketing and distribution of non-prescription drugs and nutritional supplements. In addition to building a national sales network covering the U.S. Food, Drug and Mass categories from the ground up, Mr. Mitchell has personally met with and negotiated with key buyers and officers of the top 100 retail chains and wholesalers on an ongoing basis for over a decade.

Mr. Mitchell has been a pioneer in establishing the marketing value of clinical trials to demonstrate the effectiveness of OTC remedies. Mr. Mitchell brings with him over 23 years of sales and marketing experience, including 14 years of national level management, sales, marketing and new product development in the drug and nutritional supplement industry. He is experienced in the formulation and manufacturing of prescription drugs, OTC drugs and nutritional supplements in tablet, capsule, powder and liquid form.


Jim Higgins, COO and CFO


Mr. Higgins formerly served as the COO of Dotronix Inc., currently Wind Energy America, Inc. (OTCBB: WNEA). Prior to his role at PuraMed BioScience, Inc., he was also the Executive Vice President of Mitchell Health Marketing Alliance, a sales and marketing firm with additional expertise in product development, manufacturing, retail distribution and logistics of OTC drugs and nutritional supplements. Mitchell Health specializes in establishing retail acceptance, managing products within the Food, Drug and Mass merchandiser retail channels along with assistance in branding, packaging and logistic support for OTC drug nutritional items.

Mr. Higgins spent 15 years with the AC Nielsen Co., where he was responsible for managing accounts with some of the most prominent consumer product companies in America, including Kraft Foods and Unilever’s – Good Humor Breyers Ice Cream.


Sue A. Baacke, Corporate Controller

Prior to joining PuraMed BioScience™ Inc., Mrs. Baacke was employed by a Certified Public Accounting firm for more than 12 years. She was responsible for preparation and review of financial statements, individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns, payroll, and valuation of closely-held businesses. Mrs. Baacke graduated from Upper Iowa University and attended UIU and the University of Wisconsin – Marathon County for the additional educational requirements to achieve her CPA designation. She is currently in that process.


Arthur Pirrone, Vice President of Sales

Mr. Pirrone has been involved in the sales and marketing of Health & Beauty Aid products for over 30 years. He is well known and respected in the mass market class of trade for his in-depth knowledge of the industry. He has held sales, marketing, trade and managerial positions with three Fortune 500 companies, as well as top level management position with several entrepreneurial OTC/HBC organizations. Mr. Pirrone has also run his own successful, specialized OTC/HBC consulting company. During his career, he has had extensive experience in launching new products, expanding each product line. He has hired, trained and managed both direct and broker/rep national sales forces.


Heidi Culver, Corporate Office Manager

Mrs. Culver presently serves as the Corporate Office Manager for Dotronix, Inc. She has worked in the OTC drug development, sales and marketing industry since 2001. Mrs. Culver has considerable experience in managing daily corporate operations and also maintaining communication with and coordinating training for the broker/rep national sales forces.
